Banana Protein Waffles

Banana Protein Waffles

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana, mashed

  • 2 eggs and 1 egg white, whisked together

  • 1 cup almond flour

  • 1 serve of vanilla protein powder

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon.

Method

  1. Heat up your waffle maker. I brought mine at KMART!

  2. In a medium sized bowl, beat the eggs and egg whites together. They will become slightly fluffy, and then add the banana and beat again until smooth.

  3. Add the almond flour and protein powder, and mix together thoroughly with a wooden spoon. Stir through baking powder and cinnamon. I used whey protein - but if your batter is too thick, add some milk to make sure it is a pourable consistency.

  4. Spray waffle maker with non stick spray. Pour 1/2 cup of the batter into the waffle maker and cook until golden!

  5. Top with melted chocolate and fresh berries or fruit! And serve warm!
